Warehouse Activities include 1 of 3 opportunities (all activities listed below are at our Surprise location) •Surprise Kids Café - 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM: volunteers will assist with putting food into bags for children that attend after school programs such as, YMCA’s, Boys & Girls Clubs, libraries, ETC.. •Surprise Pantry & Warehouse - 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM & 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM: sort food drive items, read and verify labels & expiration dates. Fill shopping carts with groceries for our clients receiving food boxes. AGE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum age: 14 years old 12 years old with an adult Please complete a Youth Release Form for all volunteers under 18 years old DRESS CODE: The comfort and safety of our volunteers is important. Due to health codes and safety precautions, a strict volunteer dress code is in effect. Volunteers MUST wear: Closed-toe shoes (sneakers suggested). All shirts must have sleeves (No tank tops, spaghetti straps, sleeveless, midriff or low-cut tops) Pants, jeans, or workout attire preferred. Shorts are allowed at a respectable length. (Must be no shorter than 7” above the knee) PARKING: VOLUNTEER PARKING is East of the building, please do not park in front of building as these spots are for clients coming for food assistance. Please leave valuables, purses or backpacks in your vehicle for your safety and security. St. Mary’s Food Bank is not responsible for lost and/or stolen items brought into our facilities.
